Responsibilities:

• Access control for customers, employees, and vendors.

• Excellent customer service skills, greeting people.

• Enforcement of State and Company policies and procedures.

• Observation and reporting of fire and safety hazards.

• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the front entrance.

• Reporting of all issues and incidents to the operations manager, and shift leadership.

• Interaction with a variety of persons including, public safety officials and the general public.

• Must be organized with alertness in making decisions in an emergency.

• Has the capacity to handle multi-function assignments.

• Cleanliness and organization of your workstation and vestibule.

Qualifications:

• Interpersonal Skills – Patience, listening, and communicating with a confident but friendly attitude are all people skills

• Some security experience or training is a plus

• Physical Requirements – Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Memorization – When you know the names and routines of those who work in the facility or frequently customers, spotting intruders or unusual activity is easier

• Multitasking – Balancing both security responsibilities and front desk tasks

• Attention to Detail – Security Specialist has a keen eye for what’s transpiring in the building, including visitors, safety violations, and security breaches

Opening Shift Functions:

1. Clock Into LeafLogix at your station.

2. Be sure the technology (CPU, scanner, etc) is functioning correctly. Ensure Surveillance for the front and rear of the building is displayed and reviewed on the workstation monitors.

3. Inspect Exterior Frontage to ensure the lights, windows, and security cameras are in place and have not been tampered with.

4. Clear any debris or garbage on the sidewalk using gloves and the broom provided.

5. Ensure that there is no debris such as leaves and paper which could have floated inside the vestibule from outside. Please clear if so.

6. Ensure that all educational material and other Major Bloom printed material is neatly stacked in the appropriate placement.

7. Be sure the customer exit door (from the retail floor) is secure and locked with no access from the vestibule area.

8. Confirms the wall with branded merchandise (non-THC) is nicely displayed.

9. Confirm the Customer Entrance Door leading inside the retail area is locked and can only be opened with access control or the appropriate badge.

10. Note which Sales Associates will be on staff at the start of your shift.

11. Confirm that tech such as a scanner, computer, and access control button is functioning correctly.

12. Clear the security desk of any clutter

13. Confirm the door behind the desk will only open with an employee badge swipe.

14. Be aware of your peers and leadership working during your shift.

15. Standard Operational Procedures to follow.

In the event of:

• Property Damage or Vandalism

• Garbage accumulation in frontage

• Weapons Drawn or Physical Harm threats

• Someone under 21 enters the building

• Someone attempts to get in through the exit

• Someone diverts product at the door

• Loitering outside the building

Daily Task

• Presentable workstation & entrance area

• Properly clear building frontage

• Ensure security system (access control, cameras, etc.)

• Ensure Patrons entering retail 21+ of age

• Guide business guests through visiting pass process

• Compliance Measures & Customer Services

• Assisting with Customer Pickup Orders

• Coordinating workflows with Facilities & Sales

Closing Shift Functions:

1. Be aware and take note of your peers and leadership working at the end of your shift.

2. Note which Sales Associates will be on staff at the end of your shift.

3. Confirm the door behind the desk will only open with an employee badge swipe.
